Project Overview: The existing Dining Hall and Recreation Hall were in need of a suitable foundation as the existing wooden beams of the historic buildings had rotted away causing the floor and roofline to sag. Opus lifted both buildings and placed them on steel I-beams to carry the load and relevel the building. New concrete piers were then installed to prevent future settlement and damage from occurring. Additionally, the electrical system was brought up to code and new ADA porches and wheelchair ramps were constructed.
